Nothing changes; if you change nothing.

The incessant dilemma of struggle and mediocrity will always haunt you.

The world is changing at a very high pace. The plants are growing, the animals are migrating, even the climate is changing to something unsuitable for our living.

So how can we not change with such changes in our surroundings?

Or is it that the changes we encounter are not willfully done but are a result of our external environment? Such changes are merely adjustments and not true changes from within.

Change is the ultimate rule of nature.

Nothing stays stagnant at any given moment of time. That’s the basic building block of evolution.

Consistent change over time results in something so different that we call it evolution.

But the best thing about change is, that it is in our own hands.

You may be struggling to switch jobs, or have failed to achieve the target you worked so hard for, or maybe you are struggling to maintain a relationship with someone you truly love.

But no matter what you do, nothing seems to work to give you a sense of success.

From waking up early to making your meal, everything feels like a struggle to be endured.

So what is the reason for such stagnation?

Yes, you guessed it right, it's the change you are not creating.

More often than not our struggles are a creation of our own mental construct. We knowingly-unknowingly put ourselves into a loop of negative inaction which feels like a struggle every time we try to take a step forward.

We see our friends who are far ahead of us both in terms of professional and personal dimensions.

What path did they select but we somehow missed in order to be left behind?

Such a scenario reminds me of an analogy of Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

Although they both became the President of the USA(nothing on their respective tenure here), the interesting thing about this comparison is the time each one of them took to reach this position.

Obama became President at the age of 48 years while Trump became President at the age of 70.

This teaches us a very important lesson about success.

Everyone has their own cycle of reaching the zenith of their career.

So stop comparing yourself with your peers and instead work towards your goal to create a life you find worth living.

Now let's understand the power of change.

No matter what your age is, somehow you must have encountered a scenario where you felt energetic and driven for the goal you are pursuing.

Such positivity has many variables to it which include the people around you, your schedule, your habits, and many other external factors which are, for the most part out of your control.

The reason why you feel stuck in a loop of stagnation is because of a lack of change in your life. No matter how comfortable your life is if it's stagnant, you will feel devastated.

Our minds crave to work for the things we truly desire, a lack of which feels unpleasant.

Change has the power to make you realize the things that are missing in your life.

Getting a dog makes you realize your need to have a true connection.

changing your working environment allows your mind to think afresh.

Reading an insightful book changes your perspective towards life making you open to what you considered redundant.

Writing on a piece of a paper introduces the joy of creating.

Such changes have the power to lighten your mind and open up to new possibilities.

So, if everything else fails to give any result, try to change something big and see how it feels.
